    British, we’re chipping away at over $5K each. Our April Tauck trip airfare had already been booked. Our TA said book a short trip and she could convert the cancellation credit into a “miscellaneous schedule change” credit. So a quick trip to Calgary next week leaves us with a new expiration date of September 2027. I hope she’s correct. We’ll use that for our June Tauck trip.

    It shouldn’t be this hard, and frustrating.

    According to every piece of information available, the highest "PROBABILITY" of a completely successful cruise is during May and June of each year. March and April with a heavier than normal snow pack in the Alps and spring rains may have the river too high to get under the bridges, and we all know what can happen during July August September.

    Did you you notice that "KAUB" was down at 16cm. Sad! Going the wrong way. I'm beginning to think that the typical Fall rains are going to struggle to improve much for the October cruises, particularly on the lower Danube. That's a shame because Fall Foliage is nice to see from the rivers.

    Because like you we couldn't find a typical Amsterdam to Budapest Tauck cruise for next Spring, I'm looking at a premium Regent Seven Seas ocean cruise for May of '27. At least we won't need to keep checking water levels every morning.

    And I'm curious as to how many are still on the Sep 20th trip to Amsterdam. It looks like tomorrow, Tuesday evening, they will board the MS Espirit in Vienna. Hopefully they will do the 2 hour tour of Bratislava on the way to Vienna so they don't have to back track for an hour and a half another day. They will be on enough busses after Passau.

    Booked June 25, 2028 Budapest to Amsterdam and will keep my fingers crossed for next 20 months.
