    Hi Wan: My hubby and I are headed to Patagonia next week. I just read your great review from a year and a bit ago. I have a question.... I assume you can;t drink anything but bottled water. Did people eat fresh fruit and veggies or was everyone worried about getting sick?

      HI MotherofPoodles, I am so sorry but I just found your message. I did not get flagged that I had a message. By now you are back from your trip and I hope you had a wonderful time! I actually do not remember how we handled water! I think we drank bottled water but did not obsess about brushing teeth/showering, unless told otherwise. I think we ate fresh fruit at breakfast and cooked veggies the rest of the time. The grilled veggies in Argentina were amazing, right? I can't say I remember salads but we probably ate them in Buenos Aires, if anywhere. We were amazed at the lack of vegetables in Chile. I guess they export most of their produce and grow their own veggies at home. I hope to return to Northern Patagonia one day, and requested that when Tauck sent out the questionnaire for new trip ideas. Happy travels!
