  • WOW!! Jo, what a fantastic video. It's a great overview of a safari. Very well put together, love the images, video and great music. Thank you so much for posting. I love putting videos together of places I have traveled to. I have a question for you. I am looking for a new software to process my videos. Which software did you use for this video? I hope it's not a MAC as I have a PC and android phone. Thanks again.

  • WOW !! Great video Jo.

  • Thanks Jo! We are two weeks out from Tanzania, Zanzibar, & Rwanda and so looking forward to it. Felt like we got a sneak peek through your video!

  • Great, I see you had Anna as your TD.

  • Wonderful video! Reminded me of our trips to Kenya & Tanzania. How difficult was the hike to see the gorillas?

  • What a great video. That trip is on my bucket list, especially after seeing your video. How difficult is the mountain trek to see the gorillas? Will be on a knee replacement.

  • Take into account the elevation between 8000 and 10,000 feet and the humidity. For me, that made it a tough hike but I did it. Every hike will be different, ours was fast paced and took about an hour to get to our gorilla family but it can take hours to get to your assigned group depending where they are in the forest that day. I was 66 when I took this tour.

  • I’m 64 yrs old. Ours was 2 1/2 hrs to get to gorillas. Other groups were 20 min. Our gorilla family was on the move. We did have to cut thru trees/brush to get to our gorillas family. Each person gets a porter. They go in front of u and cut a path. I was not out of breath or tired when we got there but I walk most every day at home 3-4 miles. We loved Anna our TD. What a gift to have her!

  • We were at 8500 elevation FYI

  • We also walk four or five miles a day, but I did find it tough. We also had Anna and she was able to do the gorilla hike with us as we had three very young children on our tour, so they and their mother could not go. The tickets are person specific but Anna was able to swing it to change the mother’s ticket to her name, she was so thrilled as Tauck does not pay for the TDs as it is $1,500 each for an hour.
