What to expect

This is my 1st river cruise and 3rd Tauck tour. I have been on the tour to Egypt and the South African Safari Tour. You did not have to get dressed for any of them. I always bring too many clothes. I was wondering what to bring? Does everyone get dressed at night? We are going the end of September. Also, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  • Nive pants and tops should do it, I've been on 10 river cruises and never felt out of place with what I wore, sometimes I take a dress (not a fancy one).

Some travelers, by choice, like to change out of their touring clothes into something more suitable for dining on board the ship. Each ship has an informal café-type area and a more formal dining room.

My recommendation is to review your tour’s itinerary to determine if off-site “gala” dining events occur. These usually take place in castles, museums, private villas, et al.
You can review the venue on-line then make your attire choices.

A versatile, mix and match wardrobe works best for me while touring; dress slacks, nice tops and/or simple accessorized dresses for dinner.

    Enjoy your first Tauck cruise!
