Legends of Scotland
We are taking 14 year olds on the Legends of Scotland trip, which, I think, is new this year. Any hints about clothing, money type, expectations?

I was there in July and it was cool. Bring layers and be prepared for rain. Credit cards were accepted everywhere.
Scotland uses pounds but they do have a different design on their bank notes than in England. Some places in England are funny about accepting Scottish notes. However, you should be able to get by with just credit cards as the UK is ahead of the US in being a cashless society.
Seven years ago, I had English pounds that I tried to use in Scotland. I had to go to a bank to exchange them for Scottish pounds (at a 1-1 rate of exchange). It wasn't a problem - just something to be aware of.
Did anyone take the Legends of Scotland trip? Sounds great, but, from those who went, which age groups were most excited about the options?
We just got back from this tour. It was fantastic. My teenagers really enjoyed it, especially the purse-making, St. Andrews, the day at the national park and the day at Loch Ness. So many favorite moments. Definitely pack to wear layers as someone else said. In Edinburgh it was mid-60s and off and on rainy. We wore jeans, layers and rain jackets. In Inverness it was mid-70s and sunny so we wore shorts and short sleeves. Have a fantastic time!
