Last year in preparation for our travel to Africa : Kenya,Tanzania and Rwanda,we were recommended polio booster as there was a resurgence of polio in parts of these countries.No side effects at all.We did go to that Passport clinic because that was the place convenient for us to get yellow fever vaccine as well.

The more time that goes by without a resolution to the war, the more chance of fuel shortages and cancelled flights.

We are leaving next week for the Lisbon/Douro/Madrid river cruise. For the black/gold night I am wearing a gold tank with a black jacket, keeping it simple. I bought my husband a gold paisley vest from Amazon for $30ish to wear with black slacks. For short money it was quite nice. We kept it simple but like to join in on the fun! Looking forward to this trip.

British, just to clarify — this thread is in General Discussion, not River Cruise, and my post was intended to continue Sudhamli's wonderful question about using AI to help with trip preparation.
On the fly whisk comment — fair point! But I would just give a smile. 😊 We all know AI isn't perfect yet , and our own human intelligence will always be needed.
But my intent here is simple: to show the idea that AI can be a genuinely useful in our travel planning— not just for packing lists, but for so much more.

I did this tour in 2024 and agree with everything Eddy says. They stay at different hotels now, but Grand Hotel was wonderful. Suggest upgrading to a waterfront room if available. Wish I had. I am a big fan of the movie Somewhere In Time, and seeing the props and pictures from the film was great. I want to go back some day for Greenfield Village as it was closed during my trip. The Henry Ford Museum of Innovation is fantastic. Went in the fall and the colors were beautiful.

British - that's a wonderful trip, made even better by ending in Portugal. (When I took it a few years back, it ended in Madrid.) So, so different from Southern Spain.
