Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for packing for this trip? I think layers will be the best advice, and, of course, we will check the weather temperatures before leaving. Are hiking boots and poles needed for any of the hikes and/or glacier experience? Thanks in advance.
Hi, Just curious to see if any of my fellow travelers are here! I'm looking forward to the trip; it will be my first Tauk trip...and my first tour in a very long time.
Would love to hear comments/experience re: trip choices offered including Whitewater rafting, Wildlife discovery tour or the Jasper Tramway. Will be going in September. Any other comments appreciated as well.
Apparently a wildfire outside of Banff this a.m. (9/4/25) reported as "out of control." We are supposed to fly to Calgary in two days. This is a rescheduled tour as we were cancelled bc of wildfires in Jasper last year.
August 9, Best of Canadian Rockies -- The news reports seem dire, to include the evacuation of Jasper, but reading some of the posts it seems the weather is NOT impacting this Tour. Have heard nothing from Tauck. Has anyone heard anything different?
We have travelled extensively in Europe but not used Tauck. Major question is about meals. I see that the various Fairmont Hotels have several places where one may eat. May we choose the restaurant we think we’d like? Also, is there a $ limit on meals? Just trying to get a feel for how Tauck operates. Thanks.
