Mil thanks for the video. All the accommodations that Tauck has arranged for this trip are lovely. Love Kwessi Dunes as well nestled in the heart of the private Namibrand Game Reserve with the outside star gazing rooms with a skybed!
Hello, happy to share...
I think Tauck will offer a great tour and knowing them, they will offer/I hope more activities then publish, or at least facilitate... ways to complement the day activities... I cannot not conceive paying all that money to just stay at the lodge looking at rocks.
I personally do like to book some xtras as the tours offers leisure time.
In Windhoek I will do a Day tour on the first day/arrival day. I also have already booked a 1/2 day excursion to the Sandwich Harbour on a 4x4 from Walvis Bay the afternoon of Day 5 after the catamaran etc
I'm also thinking maybe to go Hot air ballooning or Horse riding at the Kwessi Dunes, these are all ideas....
Let's see what my final itinerary will look like, I also will add some Spa time if available.
Okay, going away to do more homework, have a great evening.
Stellie Hi.
Hope you're doing well. This is a quick note to tell you about a documentary 5-episode total on the journey of this crazy and funny French guy, who travels all over the world, this time Namibia (he has his own channel in Youtube) the photography around Namibia it's incredible, he does show the different regions and Fauna, also amazing sceneries, each episode it's 35-40 min, it's all in French with English subtitles. I'm watching 1 episode per night, it's interesting and has a lot of info.
Mil this is enchanting. Just watched FIRST episode. Tomorrow...episode TWO. Magical.
By the way, who did you book the Sandwich Harbour 4 x 4 with? Called Tauck this morning. The Day 5 trip to Walvis Bay concludes at 2:00 PM if you do the barbeque lunch. If not I could arrange a 1/2 day trip. Definitely would be worth skipping lunch to do Sandwich Harbour.
Hello!
Yes, these videos are great and well made. -
I don't watch TV at all, it is very depressing. So, I'm always looking for artistic and informative videos.
Stellie, yes! Iam skipping the BBQ- I don't eat fish- allergies, so knowing about the Sandwich Harbour and the ghost town, I opted to
do that instead. I booked with Sandwaves .

They book your spot and send you a confirmation, but they take payments in person on tour day.
I was told it can be done in about 4 hours. You get to see the Flamingos, seals and the harbor. Thir office is on Walvis Bay, so as soon as you're done with Tauck, you can join them.
I’ve only been able to watch the first episode so far. It’s hard to believe I was there just three weeks ago. It was just amazing to see so much of the country and all those gravel roads. Last time, we went to Namibia, we flew to most of the places and missed seeing the scenery so closely. The flights did show us how spectacular the scenery was but at ground level it was even more special. I’ve been to the ghost town and seen lots of flamingoes, wrecks along the coast, seal colonies, catamaran trip at WalvIs bay, having flamingoes and seals coming onto the boat, it was awesome.
Hi British, love to hear from you...
I'm waiting for your Namibia photo book, I know you have plenty to do, so no rush.
Hey dear, question- it's the Ghost Town close to the Sandwich Harbour? is it on the way there or at another direction? That isn't too clear to me.
I'm getting all set for Namibia, the more I see the more I like.
I'm actually beside the 2-3 xtras I have already book, decided for once to chill at the resort/camp and enjoy doing nothing.!
Work it's too much and stressful! so it's time to be a little lazy. Chill by the pool and have a drink, 2 or 4....
Mil, it’s going to be weeks before I can do my photo book as I still have to finish my Israel and Jordan one and start my Japan one. I think I sent you a link to my Namibia book I did six years ago didn’t I?
