Tauck Advertisement on Jeopardy

Did anyone else see the Tauck ad at the first commercial break on Jeopardy last night, 1/5/25? That's the first time I ever saw a TV ad for Tauck. I think it was a national and not a local insert commercial. Any other reports of TV commercials for Tauck?

  • Edited to Add: I saw the ad again last night on Jeopardy and it was during a local (NY market) insert block not national.

    Saw a Tauck TV ad a few days ago, don't recall during which show. Might have been a college football game on Saturday.

    I watch Jeopardy every day (both my kids were contestants in the Kids Tournament 20+ years ago) and no Tauck ad here.

    Yes, I saw at least one in the past few months.
    I am getting bombarded with emails about Roam,
    I’ve had a great offer for $4000 off a cabin on a tour with a choice of dates….couldn’t take up the offer because I had already booked another tour. A few weeks later got another email with the same offer, they obviously had cabins still available

    We are traveling with Tauck next week and just received an email with what I think is a big hint about tipping. here is part of the Emil.

    Tauck Director and Driver Gratuities

    Our guests frequently tell us that their Tauck Directors are a highlight of their trip. Because we believe gratuities are a personal way for you to express your appreciation, we generally do not include them in the price of your Tauck trip. We offer the following guidelines to assist you in determining the appropriate amount:

    The Tauck director: USD $15 per traveler, per day.
    The Driver (if applicable): USD $10 per traveler, per day. On many tours, we have covered driver gratuities for you. Your Tauck Director will inform you if that’s the case.
    All other service gratuities, including those for local guides, hotel bellmen and restaurant staff, are included in the price of your journey.

    I haven't seen any video/tv ads but now regularly see online ads embedded in different websites and apps. Talked to a Tauck employee last summer who was on our cruise and he said they tailor their ad buys to the local market. So if you're seeing tv ads there must be a lot of Tauck customers in your area.

    If that’s true then New York, Florida and California must be being bombarded with them.

    The reminder to tip has also been in the welcome packet on my last few tours.

    Southern California - I have not seen TV advertisements for Tauck. I have no need/desire for social media sites beyond this forum so I can’t comment on that.

    Regarding gratuities, Tauck has always suggested appropriate amounts since I have been traveling with them.
