On the Great Migration Safari, Do you see the Big 5 as well?
We are signed up for the Great Migration Safari on August 22nd, has anybody been on this tour and seen the Big 5 as well? What is your opinion of the Great Migration tour? Would love to hear about it. Thanks!

Yes, you see the Big Five. It might be a good idea to research more about safaris in East Africa before you go so you understand what you have signed up for. The Migration time in that area varies from year to year depending on the rains. That is why that particular tour is more expensive than all the others because each day you will be looking for the migration so some of your camps will be semi permanent. I’ve been to the area four times and personally would not pay those prices because you see many many wildebeest and zebra on any regular safari.
British: you are absolutely correct.
Thanks. I have been enjoying the research.
We watch many many African wildlife tv programs and have done since childhood. At the moment we are watching a series on PBS called Big Cats 24/7 and it’s one of the best we have ever seen. The camera men/woman were on an earlier series about the same cats and one of the men has fronted other wildlife shows we have seen too, a lovely Scottish guy. This is actually set in Botswana but the big cats act the same anywhere. If you want to really understand big cat behaviors, it’s the best!
Thank you. I will watch.
Thank you. Sounds fascinating
