On the road again. Final Update 8/25/2024
Albeit a short road this time, but we are on the road again.🙂
We spent a few days in Tucson visiting my sister first, but are now enroute Grand Junction, CO followed by the ground transfer to Moab, UT.

Re: Restaurant recommendations
We like Baia also. We also did the nicely done high tea at Cape Grace which basically served as our dinner one evening.
Re: Restaurant recommendations
For seafood lovers, check out the CodFather restaurant in Camps Bay. Loved by locals and internationals. I have eaten there 3 times and met people from all over the world. It is NOT fine dining but the fresh food and sushi trumps the elite fine dining.
Re: Pre trip tour Cape Town
We confirmed that Pam will be our guide when we do the Cape Fusion tour in September. I appreciate all of the recommendations.

Re: Teeny Tiny Duffel for Namibia
Jill, I travel with my merino tops from Icebreaker everywhere. They’re amazing and can hand wash and dry overnight. Only problem I have the same wardrobe in all my travel photos. Oh well, thankfully everyone looks at the scenery!

Re: Teeny Tiny Duffel for Namibia
If hunters swear by merino wool, and I do, then travelers should as well! It is really quite amazing and worth the price!
Re: Teeny Tiny Duffel for Namibia
Fabulous photos! As far as merino wool, it has the amazing properties to keep you warm in cool weather(based on the GSM count) and cool in warm humid weather! It has antimicrobial properties, doesn't trap odor, needs infrequent washing, doesn't wrinkle and packs light in luggage. Can't wait to order a few pieces soon to see how I like it. Various full time travel bloggers swear by it.
Re: Highlights of our excellent Namibian adventure
Sandyfeet - great report, makes want to visit Namibia. Thank you.
Re: Air Travel to Tanzania
Dogdoctor, Thank you for that detailed explanation. I was just discussing the possibility of an overnight stay, if we must. I have a favorite hotel in Doha, away from the airport, but still...staying at the hotel has it's advantages. The dates are still out of the range of both Tauck and Qatar, so it's a guessing game for now. I wouldn't mind staying the night in Doha, what a vibrant city.
