Bayeux Tapestry
We’re currently on the Rendezvous on the Seine tour. Our local guide told us that the Bayeux Tapestry Museum will be closed to the public in September 2025 for approximately 2 years for a major renovation. I asked our Tauck TD’s how that will impact their tours during that period; they don’t have info yet, think they’ll probably still go to the town of Bayeux without seeing the tapestry. I thought those of you who are planning tours that include it would like to know.

Not going to get in a clothes ‘discussion’ with a clothes expert. You win. (;-)

Blue grass tour
My husband and I recently went on the bluegrass tour from Louisville to Nashville (May 2024) and it exceeded our expectations. This was my 6th Tauck Tour and we were lucky to have Stacie as our guide. At every turn there was special entertaining talks or music. The talk from a longtime jockey at Churchill Downs, bourbon tasting and tour at Maker’s Mark, interesting tours at the horse farms, music by a bluegrass band before and after dinner in Lexington, a very interesting talk by Laura Boosinger who entertained us at the Blueridge Parkway visitor’s center. In Nashville where Kent Blazy who is an American country music songwriter played and talked to us. His credits include several singles for Garth Brooks. It was awesome hearing all his stories and listening to him play and sing. As well as going to the Grand Ole Opry. The hotels were all great as well. And you do not need a jacket at for dinner at the Biltmore hotel. The dress on the whole tour was casual. We thought the food was really good and when it wasn’t included, Stacie gave us a list of restaurants close to the hotel.

Re: Northern Spain May 2024
Tim 5022- for daytime, casual clothes are fine. Some men wore shorts - just pay attention to the schedule and ask your Tour Director if you'll be visiting churches where they require long pants. For evenings, nicer polos or button down shirts with khakis or other pants are fine. I expect it's getting hotter in Spain - when we were there in May it was already getting warm. It's really not necessary to bring a blazer - you might wear it once but it is not required. You'll probably end up taking it off since the AC is not that cold in Europe. So don't bother wasting the space in your suitcase. Better to take a nicer pair of sneakers for evenings!
Have a wonderful trip - be prepared to diet when you return!

Re: Excursion Help: Bicycling in the Arles Countryside
@Mimitravels - thank you so much, this is super helpful! We are very excited for this trip!
Re: Barcelona to Porto
Yes, they have renamed the tour from what used to be 'Northern Spain, the Rioja Valley and Madrid' and changed some cities. You will see reviews if you filter/search on the aforementioned title.
We always travel to the Iberian Peninsula in the fall (Sep-Oct) to avoid the summer heat and tourists. Apr/May is fine, too.
