Re: Recommendations - Eiffel Tower Tour
The view from the restaurant is truly magnificant and there is an elevator next to the restaurant to take you all the way up.
Re: Recommendations - Eiffel Tower Tour
We have done several Fat Tire tours and they have all been great. The do have an Eiffel Tower tour which is a walking tour.

Re: Are water shoes necessary for the day at the Elephant Sanctuary?
Don’t bring them! You have to go in barefoot. We brought ours but didn’t use them. Just returned from the trip last week.
Re: Are water shoes necessary for the day at the Elephant Sanctuary?
Best bet is bring some old sneakers that you're ready to throw away. You'll be standing in a pond of muddy water that the elephants crap and pee in, as you are standing there.
Re: Help in adding pre-purchased site seeing opportunities in Rome, Florence, and Venice
If you'd rather have a private guide for these areas, let me know- we have great private guides for Venice, Florence, and Rome - not sure if they'd have availability this late, but they are so good and teach you so much more than you'd learn on your own.
Re: Vaccinations for May
I used Costco on our last trip to Africa. I agree - worked very well and price was reasonable.
Re: Vaccinations for May
We are going in late August, Following suggestions here, we worked with Costco (they have a travel Dr, then you get the drugs from your local store). You have to fill out a very detailed form about where you’ll be, then the pharmacist calls and goes over it all with you. Both my husband and I are seniors, with health concerns. So far, we’ve been impressed with Costco, $40, vs $125 at Passport Health.
Re: How to dress for dinner
Tauck thought I looked good enough to feature me.
Men, how about taking a classic navy blazer with gold button trim with either decent navy or beige dress pants in crease resistant fabric, a crease resistant light colored shirt, either plain or with an under- stated pattern and neutral tie. Crumbs, you were in France.

Re: Classic City Tour of Brussels & Other Options
Tauck's website will provide a brief description of what the excursion covers. The Grote Markt—the central square—is a lovely place to explore even though Tauck will probably give you an orientation/architectural tour of the area. If I had stayed longer—I was only there briefly on a holiday market cruise—I would have liked to have toured the beautiful city hall.

Re: Classic City Tour of Brussels & Other Options
We will be on the 4/12 tour but reading the description and knowing it is only 3 hours long, it is highly unlikely that any museums are included. In addition many or the great building such as the Royal Palace are not open to the public. If you are not to get lagged you can try to go Bruge or Ghent on your own. The Central station is a very short walk from the Hotel Amigo. You can also book at tour one or both days. On tour day one I am assuming that we won't need to be at the hotel until 230ish to get the provided transportation to the ship. We booked a tour with a tour company called WithLocals. We have used them before and they have a wide variety of tours in Brussels. Our tour ends at 1PM. You can always choose to make your way to the ship on your own if you choose a tour that ends later than the the hotel pickup time. If you are doing a private driving type tour outside of Brussels, they may be able to drop you of at the ship. If you are a museum person you can get your tickets online early such as the Museum of Fine Arts which is not far from the pre stay hotel.
