Re: Anything new, different or recommended on Singapore/Bali tour in 2025
Thank you buonviaggio! Forgot to check on that but since there was only one size trip, I thought it was smaller and as you say, may be due to capacity and activities!
Re: Question about Wine Onboard
Kfnknfzk…I like Clos du Bois also. Tell your husband to try Mer Soleil and Chateau Saint Michelle “Mimi” (not their other vineyards); they’re my faves. He should love them.

Re: Extra day at Dromoland Castle
Sussan,
Thank you for recommending Castlefergus for horseback riding. Based on your post, I emailed Sarah to reserve a slot for our extra day prior to the start of our Tauck tour. Her response was prompt and thorough and she didn't even require a deposit to hold our reservation. Transportation was easily arranged by Dromoland staff the morning of our ride. While we waited for Sarah to finish up with earlier guests, we were fortunate to observe their sheep being sheared. It was fascinating! We opted for the 1 1/2 hour ride which was lovely. It should be noted that both my husband and I are inexperienced riders and the horses were gentle and easy to manage. When we paused on a hilltop for pictures, our adult son and grandson called to Face Time. I was going to decline the call but Sarah urged me to answer and then generously held my phone so they could see us on the horses. Our grandson was thrilled! Sarah is delightful and provided us a fun and interesting introduction to Irish culture. Our time with this family-owned business was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend Castlefergus Riding Stables to anyone looking for a more personalized Irish experience!
Re: Denmark - Copenhagen Restaurant Recommendations
Kfnknfzk - we’ll be in Copenhagen in August (not with Tauck, on a HAL ocean cruise). My husband is a hot dog fanatic so thanks for the suggestion of DØP, we’ll find it.

Re: Denmark - Copenhagen Restaurant Recommendations
I just rewatched the Somebody Feed Phil episode filmed in Copenhagen and he did go to DOP for hotdogs. Obviously ate at several other places as well.
The show is on Netflix and the next season due to drop later this month. If you've never seen it the show features Phil Rothenthal who was the creator of the Everyone Loves Raymond tv series. He travels to various US and International cities to sample their food. Very funny and informative. In Dublin he ate at one of the restaurants we really enjoyed - The Boxty House. If you go to his website https://www.philrosenthalworld.com/ you can use the Cities dropdown that lists all the cities he's gone to and it will list all the places he ate. Handy if you don't have access to Netflix or want to write down the names of restaurants.
Re: Question about Wine Onboard
I rarely drink Chardonnay, but my husband likes Clos du Bois from Sonoma. I don’t know if you have tried that.

D-Day
Today (June 6) is the anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe (1944).
The war in Europe would last until May 8, 1945, a bit less than a year after the invasion.
Re: New Ships for the Seine and Rhône Rivers
My wife has a live in butler who always gets her coffee. That’s why I always get staterooms in the aft part of the Wind Surf near the aft elevator. It allows easy access to the Yacht Club.

Re: Denmark - Copenhagen Restaurant Recommendations
Yes, and Reffen Food Market is very nice but a bit more expensive depending on your choice of food. For those who will be given tickets to Tivoli (different tour), there is also a market there. Actually, you might be able to access it without entering the park itself. Don’t remember.

Crown Jewel -Switzerland tour
Hi going on the Switzerland tour in a few weeks. My husband and I have taken multiple tours before. This tour will have the highest on elevations that we will be on. We are both in early 70s and quite active just wondering if the elevation effects many that have already been on the tour. Thank you, P
