Has anyone heard of or received communication regarding Itinerary changes or cancellations for August-September sailings? I'm booked September 22, 2026.

    We are on the September 30 cruise (eastbound). Today using Google AI I searched water levels between the key cities on the water parts of the tour. They all look either normal or within standards for navigation. That is cruise ships are able to sail without interruption. That’s as of this morning Sept 1. Water levels go back up for the rest of the year. I think we won’t experience any interruptions, modifications or outright cancellations.

    I would encourage you to check for yourself. I prefer Google AI over Microsoft Copilot as I find fewer mistakes. You could ask questions like “can cruise ships sail from Luxembourg to Frankfort” and see what answers you get.

    This is the critical section of the trip being the shallowest.

    Received the initial email today regarding the September 22 Prague to Paris. Still have to wait for final go/no-go plan. We fly on the 17th.

    I took that email as a GO! we are on the same 9/22 Prague to Paris. There may be modifications but I trust Tauck will make it extra special as we travel through the itinerary.I for one, can't wait!!

    We are on the 9/21 westbound NEXT year. Would appreciate short recap, information, suggestions, recommendations from anyone on the upcoming tour. We realize weather and river conditions could be completely different but we are more interested in overall impressions. Travel safe and have a great time.

    An hour ago today, I received a communication from my travel agent who received communication from Tauck stating that the September 22, 2026 romantic capitals of Europe riverboat trip has been canceled due to low water levels.

    Furthermore, pertaining to my previous email with regard to the September 22, 2026 Romantic Capitals of Europe cancellation, I checked directly with Tauck and they confirmed that this trip was canceled.

    we are on the Sept 29 Paris to Prague and the big problem I see as of now is that the Savour is in Vienna! It has been there for several days. If the reverse route that was due to sail next week was just cancelled how are we going to go the other way!? This is so frustrating.

    trying to be optimistic, but I have been monitoring water levels, rain forecast for the next 14 days and ship location……its not looking very promising

    ms Savor currently is in Linz. It seems, looking at the port stops, to be on a westbound Blue Danube cruise. Looking at the detailed itinerary on Tauck for this tour the passengers will leave the ship at Vilshofen. The remainder of the tour is on land. Vilshofen is downstream from the Pfelling choke point. This means the ship will be empty when it passes this point. I think the Eastbound Paris to Prague is going to happen. Will know for sure on Thursday when the ship arrives in Regensburg.

    verified with Tauck on the phone just now. It is cancelled.

    The Rhine River is now at its lowest water level in history. The Main probaby in the same condition as they are somewhat linked and all European rivers are now in a similar state as rainfall has been scarce. I expect Tauck to cancel most if not all riverboat trips this year due to low water levels. I have rebooked this same cruise for next Spring with the hope that winter snowfall and winter and Spring rainfall will remediate the water level issue.

    We are booked on the Oct 21 Prague to Paris sailing and have been watching all rivers associated with this sailing…all at historic lows with no ships sailing. I understand Tauck has cancelled the Oct 1 sailing. I’m anxiously awaiting any news so that we can pivot to other plans.

    If Tauck is still intent on having some some riverboat trips continue, I expect that there will be many cancellations by booked passengers as due to low water levels undoubtedly there will have to be changes of riverboats during the journey if the original itinerary is retained or additional, previously unplanned hotel stays and bus rides as substitutes for remaining on the riverboat regardless of whether the original itinerary is retained or not. Due to these changes in the itineraries, If enough passengers cancel a cruise then the question of whether that or any other cruise will be profitable, breakeven or be a loss on Tauck's ledgers arises, which will inevitably lead to a trip cancellation By Tauck if the latter condition occurs.

    My wife and I did the Paris to Prague cruise on MS Savor in early May 2025. The water levels were already beginning to be a concern then. Our trip was wonderful. The Tauck directors and the local guides were all great. So much to see and learn. I'm so sorry many of your trips were cancelled recently, but I highly recommend rebooking this trip.
