We will be arriving in Hanoi a day early to start our 16 day tour. Are there any other travelers planning to arrive a day early? Perhaps we can arrange a tour of Hanoi to see some of the sights not covered in our Tauck tour.

    I'm local person currently live in Hanoi now ^^. If you want to hang out with locals or other travelers in Hanoi, you could find some on Ta Hien street/ Luong Ngoc Quyen street at Hanoi Old Quarter because these are gathering places that always overcrowded by locals as well as tourists ^^. People love drinking cheap beer there also.

    Or other ways to find various interesting buddies is asking on Couchsurfing to hang out with locals ^^. Vietnamese people are friendly so it's easy for anyone to make friends with them.

    If you still have time, you can consider to visiting other famous destinations in north Vietnam (near Hanoi capital).
