I booked two notoriously picky clients on this trip, from Amsterdam to Budapest, last August/September. Last week, I asked them for details about how things had gone. They RAVED about Tauck and everybody they met! They told me how their tour coordinator went out of her way to accommodate them (they have some mobility issues), was always helpful and friendly, and anticipated what problems they might have, either to fix them before they occurred, or to at least advise them on how to avoid them. Their statement was, "We're SO glad you booked us on Tauck! It was the perfect match for us! Let's do it again!"

Re: Length of time at Niagara Falls

There was a light, intermittent drizzle the morning our group visited the falls. It was off the bus...view the falls...back on the bus to travel to Niagara on the Lake for lunch. I don't recall the exact time there, but it was sufficient enough to enjoy the splendor and fury of the water. Overall, we thought it was a fabulous tour and rich in culture and history. The four cities are very unique and the Fairmont hotels were destinations in their own right, particularly the Frontenac in Quebec City. Enjoy.

We took this tour in September. We had time to walk around. I don't remember exactly how much but it was enough to walk around and take pictures from every angle. After that we took the under the falls boat tour which took about another 20-25 minutes -- but there was also time spent waiting on line and getting off the boat. I would say that we were at Niagara Falls for more than an hour. I just asked two friends who were also on the tour and both said a couple of hours.

We've used Viator for other tours in the past and were happy with them. Since they are a tour aggregator (not the operator) you need to read the details carefully - what is included, what is the cancellation policy, where is the pick up point, etc.

Yet another Tauck Freebie

Got a pair of hats from Tauck today. I understand the "1925" (founding year), but I don't get the "Tauck Circle." Anybody know? The actual color of the caps is a light khaki. The auto white balance on my tablet didn't render it well.

The hats seem to be well made. Union made in the USA, believe it or not.

Re: A Week in Ireland

We took the Small Group version of this tour this past April. We had only one day of rain. Otherwise, the weather was just fine Spring weather requiring a jacket or sweater. As far as the drive, I don't think we went more than 2 - 2 1/2 hours without a stop either because we got to our destination or we stoped for a snack/bathroom break or just to enjoy the scenery. Please note that the Small Group and Classic versions of this tour have some differences in itinerary. We also had a great TD, a young Irish fellow maybe 30-ish. Our driver was great too. Bottom line, it was one of the best Tauck tours we experienced and a lot of fun.
