Re: New Ships for the Seine and Rhône Rivers
For reference, the same size ships on Viking would have 190 guests vs 130 for Tauck.
Re: Antarctica tours with a flight over Drake Passage
Haven't been, but I just saw this ad in a magazine. In case you're still looking. This isn't meant as an endorsement of any kind, just information. 😀

New Ships for the Seine and Rhône Rivers
The ships have been named and are stunning with new and enhanced amenities. Well done Tauck.

Re: Recommendations - Eiffel Tower Tour
The view from the restaurant is truly magnificant and there is an elevator next to the restaurant to take you all the way up.
Re: Recommendations - Eiffel Tower Tour
We have done several Fat Tire tours and they have all been great. The do have an Eiffel Tower tour which is a walking tour.

Re: Are water shoes necessary for the day at the Elephant Sanctuary?
Don’t bring them! You have to go in barefoot. We brought ours but didn’t use them. Just returned from the trip last week.
Re: Are water shoes necessary for the day at the Elephant Sanctuary?
Best bet is bring some old sneakers that you're ready to throw away. You'll be standing in a pond of muddy water that the elephants crap and pee in, as you are standing there.
Re: Help in adding pre-purchased site seeing opportunities in Rome, Florence, and Venice
If you'd rather have a private guide for these areas, let me know- we have great private guides for Venice, Florence, and Rome - not sure if they'd have availability this late, but they are so good and teach you so much more than you'd learn on your own.
Re: Vaccinations for May
I used Costco on our last trip to Africa. I agree - worked very well and price was reasonable.
Re: Vaccinations for May
We are going in late August, Following suggestions here, we worked with Costco (they have a travel Dr, then you get the drugs from your local store). You have to fill out a very detailed form about where you’ll be, then the pharmacist calls and goes over it all with you. Both my husband and I are seniors, with health concerns. So far, we’ve been impressed with Costco, $40, vs $125 at Passport Health.
