Re: Mekong Delta river cruise
We were taken to the Delta on the Vietnam Cambodia Laos tour. On of the best parts of that tour. A highlight at one of the villages was when my husband had a massive reticulated python draped over him.

Re: Review of JULY 2,2023 trip - a Week in the French Riviera, Provence and Paris
We will be on this trip on May 18 and wonder if Tauck can make arrangements to visit Notre Dame in Paris when we are there. I lived in Paris in the 90s and would love to see the reconstruction from the inside.
Re: Switzerland post trip suggestions
My wife and I will be on the Sept. 17 2025 Crown Jewels tour. Afterward, we plan to buy Berner Oberland passes and spend five nights in Lauterbrunnen, in a spectacular valley. If the weather holds we will ride cog wheel trains or cable cars up to easy hiking trails. If the weather is bad, we can ride the train down to Interlaken or elsewhere. Or just look out the window of the chalet we’ve rented and savor the view.

Re: Advertising
Sealord, you are correct. I was commenting on the fact that I have not seen Tauck advertise so much. I will gladly travel with anyone regardless of where they obtain their news.
Re: Ship 360 Degree Tours
Thanx ND. I'd forgotten about this post. We opted for a Cat 2 cabin in the lower deck for this cruise and had some regrets (as noted in my review from that cruise). We normally like the 225 sqft cabins on the Ruby Deck. Enough room for us and plenty of windows. On the Douro you'll be able to enjoy your views. On other rivers there is so much river cruise traffic that you can lose you view when another ship is tied up next to you. Doesn't happen all the time and is completely impossible to predict.
Wishing you a great cruise.
Re: Advertising
This is not a political website, it is a travel website. The comment about seeing a Tauck add on Fox news I think was not political. I think several posts after that crossed the line. Let’s put that to bed. (;-)

Re: Tour Director tip
Here’s something different…in our most recent tour…to clarify not with Tauck. Someone brought up tips, and having to carry large amount of cash for the tip to the end of the tour. Our fantastic TD said he thought tour directors get a decent wage and he would never expect to get tips. Our guideline was $12. Pp per day. He said if tour directors don’t think they are paid enough then they should find a different job! He also says when anyone is concerned about carrying cash around, he invited them to give him an envelope with the tip in at the beginning of the tour. He won’t open it, then at the end of the tour he will hand it back and you can add or subtract whatever you want. Anyway, we paid him over the going rate, he was awesome and fun, we joked the entire trip, just my kind of guy!

Re: Anyone taking the Colombia: South America Eternal Spring tour?
I went to Monserrate. It’s very nice, but was not highlight of my time in Bogata. Bogata has some pretty amazing street art. I’m sure your hotel could arrange a tour if that is something that might interest you.
Here are a few examples from my tour in 2020:

Re: Yellowstone Winter Insights
Regarding clothing: when we were in the Arctic, a year ago January there was a couple that wore heated vests that they said were purchased on Amazon.
I took this trip a handful of years ago and Yellowstone is so much more magnificent in the winter than in the summer but that is just my opinion.
