Re: March Trips: Savoring France: Paris, Lyon & Provence OR Exploring the Douro, plus Madrid & Lisbon
While I have not been on the tours, I know you will better going n the Douro, Madrid and Lisbon tour as it’s too hot for much of the year in those areas. France can be quite chilly at that time of year, although Paris will be a little less crowded. If Versailles is part of the tour you will miss the garden at it’s best.

Re: Lausanne OLYMPIC museum
When we visited, we purchased tickets when we arrived. It was not overly crowded. This was in September of 2023.
Re: Lausanne OLYMPIC museum
We also got the transit pass from the hotel but did ride down and back up. It's a quick walk along the waterfront to the museum. I'm not a big sports person but found it very interesting and well done. We also used the pass to go up to the older part of the city as close to the cathedral as possible then climbed up the rest of the way for a great view of the city and lake.
Re: Lausanne OLYMPIC museum
We were there in August 2023, purchased tickets at the museum. Really enjoyed the visit. The hotel should provide you with a public transit pass you can use to travel there and back. We walked to the museum, downhill all the way, and used the pass on the way back.
Re: Trying to find anyone interested in a wine tour for 8/26 around Cape Town
Thanks so much. I’ve sent cape fusion a message. Now if we can just find 2 more travelers to join us 🤞.
Review of rocky mountaineer denver to moab
Just returned, fantastic trip. Denver hotel Four Seasons superb.arrived one day earlier easier to adjust, the train ride is fantastic.top shelf service,16 of us in a large car, silver leaf service, white gloves dine in your car at your seat great food and drink. There was a separate car for socializing and drink. The views from the train with its dome were superb, travelling next to mountains on one side and the colorado river and mountains on the other.Glenwood springs a quaint old town, nice to walk thru. The mountaineer uses different hotels in glenwood springs,we stayed in the Maxwell house formerly the DEnver hotel, redone in a respectfull manner sitting in the lobby by the fireplace was great.Next day up early board the train about 20 yuards from the hotel.Again beautiful views and service.Arrived in moab a busy town hotel was a hilton ,good food great service. We chose a jet boat ride really exiting, others took a 4 wheel drive thru the terrain. We all flew in small planes over the canyons and river. On to salt lake city beautifull city surrounding areas ,the hotel in salt lake city Grand America was the best ending, tauck suppiled us with a suite which the sitting room was like a huge living room.Stayed an extra day and enjoyed the hot tub and pool.Mike R
Re: Anything new, different or recommended on Singapore/Bali tour in 2025
Thank you buonviaggio! Forgot to check on that but since there was only one size trip, I thought it was smaller and as you say, may be due to capacity and activities!
Re: Question about Wine Onboard
Kfnknfzk…I like Clos du Bois also. Tell your husband to try Mer Soleil and Chateau Saint Michelle “Mimi” (not their other vineyards); they’re my faves. He should love them.

Re: Extra day at Dromoland Castle
Sussan,
Thank you for recommending Castlefergus for horseback riding. Based on your post, I emailed Sarah to reserve a slot for our extra day prior to the start of our Tauck tour. Her response was prompt and thorough and she didn't even require a deposit to hold our reservation. Transportation was easily arranged by Dromoland staff the morning of our ride. While we waited for Sarah to finish up with earlier guests, we were fortunate to observe their sheep being sheared. It was fascinating! We opted for the 1 1/2 hour ride which was lovely. It should be noted that both my husband and I are inexperienced riders and the horses were gentle and easy to manage. When we paused on a hilltop for pictures, our adult son and grandson called to Face Time. I was going to decline the call but Sarah urged me to answer and then generously held my phone so they could see us on the horses. Our grandson was thrilled! Sarah is delightful and provided us a fun and interesting introduction to Irish culture. Our time with this family-owned business was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend Castlefergus Riding Stables to anyone looking for a more personalized Irish experience!
Re: Denmark - Copenhagen Restaurant Recommendations
Kfnknfzk - we’ll be in Copenhagen in August (not with Tauck, on a HAL ocean cruise). My husband is a hot dog fanatic so thanks for the suggestion of DØP, we’ll find it.
