Bridges Family Fun Along The Seine

We're doing this cruise with our 2 grown children and spouses and four grand children (7,9,14 &17) in July of 2024. I was thinking we should arrive at least a day before we board. Any suggestions as a fun activity, would be appreciated. Also any other tips!

For magnificent views of Paris that outshine those seen from atop the Eiffel Tower, you might consider an excursion to Montmartre, the highest point in Paris. Both adults and children will enjoy riding the little train up and down the hill. If interested, you can check with the hotel concierge before your trip or do a little on-line research to find a packaged tour. If you're not interested in touring the cathedral, there are numerous quaint streets great for strolling and people watching.

  • Clarification - There is also a funicular that can be ridden, but I think the children might better enjoy riding in the open train/trolley.

  • Thank you for the info. I was considering Montmartre but didn't know about the train or funicular.

Our excursion was part of our Seine River tour (London and Paris) this past April. Only seven (7) of us chose this; all other guests visited Versailles. I think your best bet would be to e-mail the hotel concierge to inquire about reputable tours offering the little trolley. It truly was a fun day. No matter your decision, have a great time!
