Which tours are the most wine-centric? Looking for tours of wineries, tastings, educational talks, etc,

    On Classic Italy, wine was included with most dinners (unlike most tours), but there weren't any winery tours. Maybe the more region-focused Italian tours include wineries, but I haven't looked into it.

    The Northern Spain tour was awash in good wine. One of the stays was at a winery in Rioja.

    Wine was plentiful on the Spain and Portugal land tour and, to a lesser extent, on the Paradors of Northern Spain tour, renamed as mentioned above.

    The Savoring France river cruise was replete with wine and culinary delights.

    There were several Quinta stops on the Duoro River cruise.

    You might be interested in Tauck’s new Roam tours. They have one focused on oenology in Bordeaux, France. I hope to take that tour!

    The new Piedmont tour in Italy has tons of wine and wineries. Totally recommend!

    I agree with Ben. Savoring France river cruise lots of great wine and visits to wineries.

    Paris Dordogne & Bordeaux - We tasted some of the best wines we have had on a Tauck tour and explored food I had not had before. I am a conservative eater and the Michelin meals were rather fussy but theatrical. Enjoyed the experience but would not go out of my way for those meals. Enjoyed the simplier fare and the meal on the beach at Biaritz was superb!

    If you like Italy, the Puglia tour featured several wineries and the Tuscany and Umbria tour also of course went to several, including the very large Antinori winery, located on a stunning property. I am waiting for a Tauck tour in the Northeast part of Italy (Venice-Verona-Bolzano-Trieste) as I am currently in love with the white wines from that region, and my favorite red, Amarone.

    The Rome, Amalfi Coast, Sicily, and Malta tour had wine tasting / winery tour excursion options almost everyday once you boarded the ship.

    I’m with Ben and Noreen, the Savoring France River Tour. There is also a longer version but I have forgotten the name.

    It kind of depends on what type of wine you like. On the Rhine/Moselle we got to try some of the best Riesling we've ever had. On the Rhone of course it was Provençal. On the Douro different ports which were surprisingly good. Most of our tour wine drinking has been on river cruises either as one of the excursions or the wine on board. The ship's sommelier works with the chef to pick the wines.
