I rarely open the Tauck website. I just went on it to see if there are any banners about the river cruises and saw this

British, we received an email on August 6th detailing the above information. Did you not receive one? I would have thought Club 25 members like yourself would have been to first to receive this notification. 😁

Hi! New here with River cruises. We have just received word that the Milan to Amsterdam rhine river cruise has adjusted its itinerary with a five hour bus ride up north with a ship swap. No castle dinner and no cruising up the middle Rhine,viewing all the beautiful castles. I keep hearing that TAUCK always surprises you with wonderful things in this situation but what are the surprises? And why can’t they tell you.

If it is down, hopefully they'll fix the most important thing about the forum - the ridiculous size of the emojis 😁

Lisa, I think maybe Tauck could delay these updates and lack of clients being able to talk to them. This is a disaster for them, even if it is not exactly their fault. Waiting and waiting for more info is not fun, remembering we went through all this with tours at the start of the pandemic plus when Jennifer Tombaugh was over confident about when she said tours would be opening up again.
I cannot think of how this is going to affect Tauck, their finances , their disillusioned customers, the price of future tours etc.
New customers will be most disillusioned Maybe they will look at Viking next time even though they only give vouchers when people cancel tours.

I got an email several days ago about this. My thoughts were like those of British - with all the river cruise woes and changes and cancellations this seems like a particularly bad time to be doing this. But, since management changes a few years ago I feel like they lack a certain amount of common sense now…🤷‍♀️

Never use our computer for the forum, usually my iPad. Only probably in the last year have I used my phone for the forum
Rarely look at the Tauck website these days, mainly because I’m using other companies to book tours more frequently. Also, when they updated the website site some years ago, it has never been as good at finding tours.

Unless I misread, I think the forum will be available since it is not tied to Tauck’s reservation system. ‘My Account’, which is tied to the reservation system, will be unavailable certain days.

On the Tauck website the banner about the closure has disappeared. I wonder if it has been delayed. I’m guessing all the likely calls about the cruise cancellations and now the earthquake in Flores on the Singapore Bali tour will mean even more anxious callers.
