We will be on the Bridges Bon Voyage trip that starts July 17th. Here is a great article on Roman ruins in France that I have shared with our 12 yr old grand-daughter since we will be visiting several of these sites - interesting info for all of us! https://www.offbeatfrance.com/ancient-roman-ruins-in-france.html
Sharing this here in case it's helpful to others choosing between Bridges tours. We took this trip with our 13 year old daughter and 18 year old nephew. While we had a very nice trip and the staff was excellent, it is still not one I would recommend. During our time in Paris, we were disappointed in the excursions and that…
We're just confirming dates with their parents, but anticipate booking this cruise with 2 17-year-olds. I really hope there are a few older teens on this trip so they will have a chance to make new friends. Anyone else booking this river cruise with kids, and if so, what ages? BTW, ours are a boy and a girl.
It was not the best vacation, but it was a memorable one. A couple of sad items : 6 out of 11 of our group caught COVID at the end of trip (after we left Tauck and start touring on our own). We determine the two people caught it during the train ride from Paris to Lyon. The car we were in was not all Tauck's guests. There…
We’ll be arriving a day ahead of our Bon Voyage tour and intend to do a little sight-seeing on our own with a 2 day Paris Museum Pass ( which now last for a full 48 hours instead of just 2 calendar days.). We’ve used these passes for adults before and they are very practical - grandchildren get in most places free. I just…
We (11 of us) will be on Bon Voyage! France Family River Cruise July 5, 2022. Time to sign up for our excursion and it seems like the choices are VERY limited. There are only two choice for Paris & Avignon (sightseeing or bike). And for the rest of the time, it seems like everyone will be doing the same tour (no choice).…
We are going on this cruise on 7/5/22 but staying over 1 additional night in Lyon. Does anyone know whether the Intercontinental has either connecting rooms or family rooms suitable for 17 year old cousins - 1 boy and 1 girl? I can't really go for them sleeping on a sofa bed, but we may not find twin beds either. Thanks…
We're taking two 17-year-olds on the Paris-Lyon trip plus a Basel-AMS one. I am having a hard time thinking of books/movies for them. So far, I have "The Zookeeper's Wife" and "Schindler's List" movies and "Diary of a Young Girl" book, but those are all related to Amsterdam or WWII. Any ideas?
I’m going with my daughter and grandson, age 7. Anyone else???
Arriving Paris on the 19th for Bridges trip beginning the 20th. Family of 5. Two girls 11 and 13! Very excited!
