Lunch and Boat ride in Berlin

Does anyone recall what you saw on the boat ride? We are arriving early and were thinking about taking one of the boat rides but don't want to take the same one offered on the tour. Thanks

The tour provided boat ride, during our 2018 trip, was of the Spree river through the main part of Berlin where the Bundestag is located. The boat ride does extend beyond that immediate area. The boat ride is quite enjoyable. A meal and refreshments were provided during the ride. If the boat ride, pre-tour you were considering is on the Spree river then I'd pass and wait for the tour's boat ride. There are so many things to see in Berlin, without duplicating.
