Yellow Fever Shots

My wife Vicki and I are scheduled for the June 13 tour and just received our Tauck documents (This will be our 18th with Tauck!). We were concerned about whether we would need proof of Yellow Fever shots. (We had gotten our Hep A & B shots for the wonderful Tauck Tanzania trip 6 years ago.)

I checked the CDC web site and it was somewhat confusing, so I called our local university's medical/travel department. They confirmed that yes, the proof of the Yellow Fever inoculation would be needed to re-enter South Africa after visiting Victoria Falls. So, we were able to get the shots today. I just want to alert everybody, and if anyone finds out something different, please post. Anyone else going with us on this tour?

You are right, absolutely need proof of yellow fever, whether you are innoculated or are "too old" and have doctor's evidence. Just got back and those without had to go to the clinic in Cape Town to get taken care of.
