Has anyone been in cabin 317 on the Emerald ship?
Hi, We just realized we are in a cabin (317), diamond deck, right next to the smaller restaurant - Arthur's - and are concerned about the noise and people walking past our cabin. Has anyone been in that cabin and how was it? Thanks!

We have been in cabin 308 numerous times and have never been inconvenienced by hallway noise. You should be fine in 317. Our experience has been that people do not linger in Arthur’s, preferring to return to the lounge area for nightly entertainment. There can always be exceptions, however.
This was one of our favorite riverboat cruises with a nice blend of culturally enriching experiences and bucolic scenery. Enjoy.
I’ve been in 318 which is the mirror image. Noise is not a problem, and it is convenient being close to Arthur’s, and there is a public bathroom, that was a convenient feature. The room, however, is small and has very little storage. I recommended that they remove the coffee maker and put in some drawers. The coffee maker in Arthur’s is only ten feet away.

sealord, is there a closet in 318/317?
There is a small closet, but very few drawers. Most of our folding clothes lived on a bench next to the closet. We did like being close to Arthur’s, and the adjacent bathroom was almost like having a cabin with two bathrooms. The room is also very near the hot tub. I liked the cabin except for the storage issue.
CaroleKirschner - You can view a schematic of your cabin by going to Tauck’s website and filtering on your trip. Scroll down to the picture of the ship and look for your cabin category. You might not see detail, but you will see the overall room layout and amenities. Hope this helps some.
