Can anyone suggest a nice restaurant near the Opera House in Paris. It's our anniversary and we want to eat at a "nice" place.

Research Beau CoCo and see if that appeals to you. They offer brunch, lunch and dinner.
For an exceptional meal in an exceptional setting, try Guy Savoy. We celebrated a milestone event there after a Tauck journey. It is not in the vicinity of the Opera House, however. Reservations are imperative and appropriate attire is expected.
If staying at the InterContinental (adjacent to the Opera), we also had a very nice meal there at a table for two tucked in the back of the dining room with lovely views of the streetscapes.

I agree with kfnknfzk…..the most delightful special meal would be Guy Savoy. Just take an Uber or cab over to the opposite bank. It is SO WORTH IT!!! They have multiple course pre fix dinners as well as alacarte. Be sure to make your reservation very far in advance. If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or anything special let them know. They make it very special. Wonderful food, ambiance, service. Not snooty at all. We have been there for our 50th anniversary and my 70th birthday. It’s so special to us that we would route through Paris on the way somewhere else to dine there.
Unfortunately, Guy Savoy will be closed from 10 August to September 3.
Now I remember! It was because I had read one of your posts, Marla526, that I decided to try Guy Savoy. I had trouble making an online reservation, so I sent an e-mail to the InterContinental’s concierge asking if they might be able to help me. Sure enough, they did.
I also remember you had taken the classical music tour. It was canceled right when I tried to book it. So disappointing.

That’s right kfnknfzk! I remember. Yes the Danube music river cruise was discontinued last fall by Tauck. I think I have seen other companies with similar trips.
