We will be on a mid-September Spain and Portugal land tour. Any feedback from recent travelers on the modified tour this year or helpful hints? Any suggestions for things to see or do on the free afternoons or full day in Marbella? Thanks.

    I am not sure what you mean by ‘modified tour.’ When we took this fabulous trip, we had a free day in Marbella at a resort on the Mediterranean—Gran Pepe. All Tauck guests (small group) had rooms facing the sea. We strolled through the quaint old town, walked along the seaside promenade and had a delicious seafood salad at one of the outdoor restaurants. We wished we had more time there.

    If you like octopus, have it in Lisbon. Try tapas in Madrid. Enjoy!

    We took this trip last May. Our free day in Marbella was having lunch at a seaside restaurant and walking through the Old Town.
    It’s a beautiful place to visit!

    We thought it was wonderful and full of culturally enriching experiences. The Moorish history and architecture, especially in southern Spain, were highlights for us. And the food and wine. Mid-October is an ideal time to go. Enjoy.

    The tour was billed as 're-imagined for 2025' so I assumed there were changes this year.
