TRAVEL ALERT: Flooding in Europe

Unprecedented high water levels have been reported along various rivers in Central Europe. Due to the high water levels, many locks were shut down by officials and sailings have been prohibited. In addition, authorities have declared states of emergency due to flooding in some local areas near the riverbanks. There is no indication at this time how quickly the river levels will subside, and we are monitoring the river levels and the weather forecasts closely.

We will provide an immediate update if there are any other changes. If you are a guest with travel plans in this region, a Tauck representative will be personally reaching out to you (or your Travel Agent).

As always, the safety and security of our guests is our utmost priority.

    Hello Everyone,

Here is the latest update regarding the unprecedented high water levels and flooding in Central Europe.

    Impact on River Cruising:
We were forced to alter the first two days of the June 7th departure of the Rhine and Moselle River Cruise, the impact to this itinerary is minimal and the remainder of the tour will continue as planned. Our Guest Relations Team have been contacting guests on this departure informing them of this change.

    Impact on Land Journeys:
Slight itinerary change to the Prague visit on the June 1st departure of the Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna & Prague tour. We will not be visiting the Charles Bridge, which is currently inaccessible. The impact to the day’s itinerary is minimal.

We continue to monitor the events in Europe and will provide updates when necessary. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

As always, the safety of our guests is our utmost concern.

    Best,
    Emily

We are on the July 5th cruise from Prague to Budapest. Based on what is know now, are the sights outlined in the Tauck brochure likely to be part of the tour. We are concerned that all we are going to see will be soggy sandbags and mud spattered cobblestone. This concern is especially true of Passau Germany based on some of the tv news reports that we have seen. Like to have a response from Tauck. Thank you.
