Condition of Ahwahnee Hotel
I have been reading some very disturbing reports about conditions and health safety at the Ahwahnee Hotel. The National Park Service report was from 2024. Has anyone stayed that more recently who can report on the conditions?

The Ahwahnee (within the park) is a beautiful historic hotel. The dining room is beautiful. Some of the hotel is under renovation. Typically I don’t and won’t pay 800.00 dollars a night for a very small itty bitty hotel room. Look at the Tenaya Lodge (outside of the park or if you won the lottery, look at the Chateau du Sureau in Oakhurst (outside of the park). I have a national park pass so entrance fees are waived. I’m staying at the Tenaya in April.
We go to Yosemite fairly frequently. We normally go to the Ahwahnee for a drink and a snack but we stay at the Evergreen Lodge which is about an hour from the valley. It is actually very close to Hetch Hetchy. The lodge has cabins and tents. They have a nice pool and hot tub and good food. It is remote and a little hard to find so if you decide to go there you need to research the location. GPS does not work. The deluxe cabins are quite nice.
