When we did that tour, we arrived a day early, also. Take a look at our trip to see what we did. May give you some ideas.

That was a very good tour. You'll enjoy it.

  • I'd walk the walls. Go early in the AM before it gets very hot and all the tour groups arrive. After that you could take some time at the hotel and then spend some time in Dubrovnik seeing the old town. I also find the orthodox churches quite interesting and different from the roman churches. There's a small one in Dubrovnik. There are also ones in Kotor and in Ljubljana. The one in Ljubljana
is larger and much more impressive. I think it's worth seeing. Thet're something that you don't see in the US.

I'd suggest you get the Rick Steves guidebook for Croatia and Slovenia. He has good walking tours and explains other places that you might find interesting in all of the cities that this tour visits.

  • What time does the tour start on this Adriatic treasures in the morning?

  • Daily.. not the initial start of tour ( this starts at night as I know).

  • I can't tell you the exact time. It's been a while since we took this trip. I'd guess it's between 8 and 9, possibly earlier on the day you go to the caves. It was an early opening before the regular 9AM public opening time.

If you are thinking about walking the walls, if you arrive a day early you can do it the morning that the trip begins. Otherwise, I think the only possibility would be the day when you have the Dubrovnik city tour and lunch. There's no dinner that day. You could probably go a few hours before closing.

  • Yes, and the caves were really a nice visit. Getting there when we were the only ones in the caves was really nice. By the time we were leaving the main rush was coming in. Here are pictures of our visit to the caves - https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2019-2Adriatic-08.htm

The other event that I found interesting was the "wedding" in Stankovci - https://www.mikeandjudytravel.com/2019-2Adriatic-05.htm#Wedding
