Laundry options for Douro River + Madrid and Lisbon
Are there any convenient places to do laundry on this cruise-tour? The prices for laundry on ships is a bit ridiculous but I am never quite sure if there are any options for our hotel stays. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

For convenience, I recommend having the ship do your laundry. The service is fast and efficient. If staying in the category five (5), 300 sq. ft. , cabin the charge will be deducted from the €100 credit you will have. I can’t help with Lisbon and Madrid options beyond the hotels’ services. An internet search might show laundromat services close by.
It’s a marvelous tour. Enjoy.
we are doing this same trip in a few months. Not sure exactly what I will be doing, but I will be packing with the idea that some items get hand washed in the sink, some items never get re-used, and some will/may encounter the ships laundry service.
Just what I am thinking.
Sounds like a plan! For your hand washables, the shower has a pull out “clothes line” which is very convenient. My recommendation is that you don’t need to wear items only once, but that is certainly your prerogative. It appears you will be there this summer. It can be quite warm and you might find that you will be washing more frequently.
I agree with the comment about it being warm in the summer. We were there in late July/early August and it was very hot. The worst heat was in Madrid and on the last stop on the ship before entering Spain. On the ship I was washing out bras every day but had brought enough shirts that I didn't need to wear them more than once. Because of the heat, everything dried very quickly. If you start in Lisbon, you can wear some of the outfits more than once.
