Anyone bring a tablet on this trip?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone brought a iPad etc..... on this trip? I'd like to bring my tablet but I am concerned about leaving it in a tent

    I was more concerned about it being stolen more than anything else

    I've got similar concerns about notebook cmptr, smart phone, etc - can't seem to get firm answers anywhere on this

    I suspect that there is a greater risk of theft of our shiny toys in the camps than in cities - by monkeys, not by humans. I plan to keep my cameras, iPad, etc. out of sight when not on my person.

    On our May trip I was NEVER concerned about theft in the camps. We had a smart phone but others in our group had iPads. They were great. One person had an iPad with a star map. It was fun to use in the camps after dark. The only time we saw monkeys near our lodging was at the Royal Livingstone. If you left your doors open or unlocked, monkeys could get into your room and into you stuff. Happened to one family who lost some snacks.
