  I took this tour last month. It was great. We had ideal weather. I would recommend November - although the monsoon season formally ends in September, this year late season typhoons soaked the tours before mine. One other important thing is that if you renew your passport after booking this tour, you should take a photocopy of your old passport with you. Reservations to enter the game parks are recorded by passport number, and you need proof that that number belongs to you to enter the park.
  
  Take lots of memory cards for your camera. I took nearly 8,000 photos. Everything is photogenic.

  Did this tour last October. Had no problem with lingering monsoon rains. Everything is fantastic. If you like, the food is very much Indian. Other choices (i.e. American) are generally available.
  
  One proviso - this is a strenuous trip. The treks from one location to another can be grueling - 5-7 hour drives over bad roads, and a mess of unpaved roads, in an SUV. We had a portable toilet as part of our caravan but lost it on the way to the first game park when the luggage van ran off the road and we had to convert the loo to a luggage carrier. Toilet facilities were then in the open air.
  
  The morning drives into the game parks can be downright cold. Bring plenty of layers and gloves and a hat.
  
  The hotels throughout were extraordinary! Lap of luxury personified.
