Can anyone tell me if Tauck provides personal listening devices, especially for shore excursions, on river boat and small ship cruises? Couldn't find anything in the brochure or on the website. Especially necessary for the hearing impaired. Thanks!

Tauck does use listening devices, at least they did on our recent Rhine cruise. It was one of the complaints we lodged on our first cruise on Danube in 2006 - no devices and it was hard to hear the guides. They now seem to break the group up into 4 smaller groups and use a small device you wear on a string around your neck with an earpiece. The guide can then talk quite softely in hers to allow others to hear nicely. Works quite well in the museums and outdoor areas where there are alot of people going about. They usually hand them out each morning when they divide up the larger group into smaller ones.
