Best Camera Lens for American Canyonland Tour

We are joining the American Canyonlands Tour of May 11, 2015. Anyone with advice for DSLR lens to best capture the beauty of this tour? I've read that 24-55mm is a good lens for the Grand Canyon. What about the other Canyons, other natural landscapes boat trips and flights we'll be taking/visiting? Thanks for your comments.

  • I haven’t taken this tour, but I’m now down to using just one lens when I travel. I bought a Tamron 16-300mm. It’s made in versions for Canon, Nikon and Sony mounts.

  • We are taking the June 5 tour and I will be taking a Nikon 5300 with a sigma 18-250 lens. Hopefully that's all I will need . I always throw in an inexpensive waterproof Fuji digital camera and a "dinner" camera my wife carries in her purse when we don't want to take the DSLR.
