Hi fellow future travelers to Rome, Amalfi Coast and Capri on April 28th,2012

Hoping to communicate with our fellow travelers. Has anyone going on this tour ever been to Capri or the Amalfi Coast? Anyone going from Charlotte NC?

Anyone have some tips whether it be restaurants or what to pack or not to pack? Any info on the "Blue Grotto"? Thanks.

Jim & Ang Montague from Charlotte NC

Went on this trip last year. Enjoyed it so much that my daughter, 19 years old, and I are going on it again plus a pre trip on Tauck. Third summer in a row that we have gone on a trip with Tauck. In Positano, we loved Chez Black right on the beach. You will love having lunch at Mama's restaurant on the Amalfi coast. We went on May 6th last year. The weather was lovely during the day but you will need a cover up in the evening. It gets chilly.\
One of our favorite restaurants in Rome is Ristorante Rosa, Via di Pietra, 88, for lunch. Great vegetarian pizza, and pasta. Also, by the top of the Spanish steps there is a restaurant that Tauck takes its travelers to for lunch. Can't remember its name but ask you tour director and they should know the name. They have the best seafood rizotto.

Hope you have Scott Bishop for you tour director. He is great. He loves Italy and will make you fall in love with it also.

If you want to go to the Blue Grotto, check in with the hotel as soon as you get there. They will make arrangements for you to get a boat to take you there and also tell you the best time to go. The more people you get into the boat the lower the cost.
