worried about the mariposa wildfire impact on vacation experience

in Yosemite and Sequoia: John Muir's California
Anyone else with concerns about the wildfire near/in Yosemite for this trip? My scheduled trip is still 2 months away-Sept 30!

    I think you have very little to worry about. The Detwiler fire, while very large, is in the foothills of the Sierras, north and west of the town of Mariposa. It is not in the park or really near to to the park (Mariposa is about 50 miles from Yosemite Valley). Yosemite gets mentioned on the national news because that's the only thing nearby that people in other parts will recognize. While there is currently haze in the valley from the fire, it will surely be gone by the time you are there.
