Yes, it is Italian but also has some local cusine on the menu.

We ate at Rezkaskas and The Strudel House - both had excellent local cuisine and both only a couple of blocks from the Ritz. Also, we had breakfast at atablemadache a few blocks from the Ritz in the Jeswish Quarter - it was actually a French restaurant with great coffee, pastries, and omelets. Rezkaskas and the Strudel House have searing inside or out - make reservations a couple of days in advance b/c they are popular places. The strudel house had fantastic dinners but also made strudels while you watch.
