Unless your appliances, curling iron, battery charger, etc. are dual voltage, you will need a converter as well as the proper plugs. Most newer appliances, but not all, are dual voltage. Check to make sure before you leave home. If so, all you'll need are the proper plugs. However, if your appliances aren't dual voltage, you'll ruin them if you don't have a converter.
