Phoenix/Scottsdale attractions

in America's Canyonlands
We are arriving to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area a few days early for our 4/29 Canyon tour and would welcome any suggestions for "what to do/see" in that area.

    We rented a car from the hotel and visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West in Scottsdale in the morning. (We booked tickets in advance.) In the afternoon we visited the Musical Instrument Museum, which was excellent. Since we had the rental car, we also went out to dinner the first night prior to visiting the museums the next day.

    Both museums were well worth the effort.

    On a personal trip to Phoenix, we had some time to visit the Musical Instrument Museum. We wished we had another whole day, it was so wonderful! Highly recommended for all ages.
