Question about Monument Valley trip

When you visit a family in a teepee, are you offered food -- and if so, what kind? Also, would it be appropriate to take some sort of gift for our hosts there -- and if so, what kind? Thank you!

  • Unless this visit has changed since I did it, the visit to the Navajo hogan is more of a "tourist" one. It is not a family's actual home. A Navajo tells and shows things about the culture. It is a fascinating visit. There was no food served.
