attire for Switzerland Tour
We will be on the Switzerland Crown Jewel Tour in September. Would jeans/sneakers be appropriate for daytime touring? Do most people change attire for dinner? Would love to hear from others who have been on this tour to provide some help with packing.

Jeans/dockers and sneakers will be acceptable during day time touring or shorts if it is warmer. The tour is pretty casual, no churches or other formal sites.
At nighttime dining most men changed to slacks and a nice shirt but it doesn't have to be a dress shirt. Ladies usually wore nice slacks and a nice blouse or sweater. The arrival reception and departure reception are usually when people dress a little nicer, but business or formal attire is not required. The dress for these events varies widely based on the comfort level of the participants.
Common advice is to pack items that you can mix and match. Most usually wear the same items two or three times. It has been said before, no one really pays attention to what you wear so feel free to dress to your comfort level.
We only brought sneakers and another pair of casual shoes for the dinners. When you are scheduled to stay two nights at the same hotel many laundered small items in the sink and let them dry over the bathtub. If you need to have items dry cleaned or pressed at the hotel be prepared to pay a premium price.
