Is the flightseeing into the Grand Canyon by helicopter or plane ?

    The flightseeing tour is not in the Grand Canyon. You fly over Lake Powell and the canyons in that area. You fly in a small plane that holds maybe 15-20. If you choose to go to Monument Valley, you basically see the same area plus go to see the formations there.

    Absolutely do not miss the flight seeing! I was a little bit nervous at first about the small plane, but this was one of the highlights of our trip!!

    Just a note. No one flies into the Grand Canyon anymore. After a couple of accidents years ago, the park service closed the airspace.
