What does the two Queen Size bed rooms at Creekside Lodge located in Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota really look like? This is the hotel Tauck uses for the first two days of the tour. The hotel is modern and air conditioned, mandatory for the hot summer days. The double queen size bed rooms are large. The only nearby restaurant is about 100 yards away at the scenic Old State Lodge. The food is good there, but does one really wish to eat all their meals there for two to three days (with a pre-stay night)? This is a question you will ask yourself by the time you leave. But do not miss the Buffalo Safari leaving from the lobby.
