Travel Lens
There have been a number of posts lately on what lens for your DSLR to take on tour. Many people recommended an "all in one" or travel lens that covers a wide range without having to change lenses or lug extra lenses. The only drawback to these lenses is that they don't have the image quality of narrower range lenses (still good enough for most people).
Some people have expressed concerns about the cost of these lenses. Right now, Sigma is knocking $180 off their 18-300mm lens bringing the price down to $399. They have models for most major manufacturers, including Canon and Nikon. I don't know how long this price is good for, but I'm guessing the month of February (2018).
Disclaimer: I'm just passing this on as a fellow Tauck traveller. I have no connection to Sigma other than as a customer.
