Capetown water problems

We are scheduled to be on the South Africa Elegant Adventure August 2018. There are multiple news articles related to the water shortage in Capetown from day zero, no baths, 90 second showers, oil added to the pool to avoid evaporation, restaurants steaming food, etc. Would you suggest delaying this trip until things have been resolved or just continue with our plans?
Has anyone been there recently and willing to share their experiences?

    I was on this trip several months ago. We were well advised of the issue while there, but it had little impact on us. The tourist areas, in particular, are doing everything in their power to avoid disrupting the tourist trade which they need and want. I truly doubt you'll experience any substantial problems. You are only in Capetown a few days and Tauck will address the issue if it truly becomes problematic. You will also be there after the rainy season has begun, if in fact the rains return this year. Go!!! This is a phenomenal trip, you won't regret it.
