Dressing/packing for Best of the Canadian Rockies tour
Just returned from this wonderful tour! Most everyone in my large group packed way too many clothes - nice 'resort casual' clothing in particular. You're only in each hotel for no more than two nights, so living from an over-packed suitcase is a hassle (not to mention, there's no room to bring items you purchase on the trip home with you). We were of the opinion that other than the farewell reception the last night of the tour, nice clothes are never necessary. In fact, you kinda stick out like a sore thumb! Everyone, everywhere was dressed about as casual as it gets. Other than the farewell reception mentioned above, our group could have and did go to dinner each evening in what they wore on the bus that day (casual pants/shorts, jeans, tees, sweatshirts, athletic shoes, etc.).
