In Europe, especially in finer restaurants, it is generally customary to dress somewhat formally. Slacks or a dress for women and a jacket for men are acceptable dining attire. It is advisable to avoid wearing jeans, sneakers or shorts for dinner. Guests may also wish to dress up a bit for the welcome reception and the farewell dinner, but by all means be comfortable.
We took this tour a few years ago (great trip by the way-you'll see some great sights) & my husband went w/ dockers/button down shirt most nights (added a jacket for the welcome/farewell dinners) & I did capris/black pants w/ a cute shirt (dressier shirt for welcome & farewell). Most women did the same w/ a few dresses in the mix & about 40% of the men went w/ jackets (which came off pretty quick-could be because we went in July:) Bottom line, it's your vacation, relax & enjoy!!

Hope this helps,
